Grandstream Networks, Inc. and Global IP Sound announced a collaboration to bring superior voice quality to the affordable SIP (Session Initial Protocol) device market. As the first stage of the collaboration, Grandstream has contracted with GIPS Services to integrate the fixed-point, optimized version of GIPS iLBC into its ultra-affordable BudgeTone-100 SIP phones and HandyTone-286 analog telephone adaptors (ATA).
